Thomas Newcombe
B. Physiotherapy
Growing up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Tom had always been a keen sportsman, being involved frequently throughout his high school and university years playing and coaching both soccer and cricket. Tom found regular enjoyment from coaching young athletes with the aim to motivate, educate and inspire them to be their best. Combining this with a love for science and fascination into how the body works, Tom chose to explore this interest further, and commenced his Physiotherapy journey.
After graduating in 2019, Tom opted for a tree change, moving from Manly’s coastal beaches to work at Lithgow Hospital for my new graduate year. It was here that Tom found a love for the country, taking a liking to the peace and quiet and local community atmosphere (the lack of traffic also played a huge part). Looking for a strong team environment led him to move to Bathurst at the beginning of 2021 he joined the team at Bathurst Physio.
At work, Tom thrives off self-empowering patients through education and advice that allows them to regain their independence, self-manage their conditions and overall enhance their quality of life.
Tom’s hobbies include “playing football, camping, strumming on my guitar and video calling my parent’s 2-year-old Jack Russell in Sydney named Tiberius”.
