Nik Granger

B. Physiotherapy

Nik’s path to physiotherapy has taken many turns, each providing opportunities to learn and grow, both for him and for those he has worked with. The human body and how it functions has always fascinated him. Exposure to physiotherapy through various sporting injuries and having a family member live with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) fuelled his desire to learn more and to be able to help others.

Nik has been connected to the Central West since 2000, when he left Sydney to study Human Movement and a Graduate Diploma in Education (PDHPE) at Charles Sturt University (CSU). During this time, he played rugby union for the University, Central West, and NSW Country Cockatoos. After graduating, Nik took up a role teaching Outdoor Education in Southeast Queensland. Life circumstances eventually brought him back to the Central West, where he worked for CSU managing non-academic support.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought about change and provided an opportunity for Nik to reassess his career path. After 20 years, he made the bold decision to return to study and pursue his dream of becoming a physiotherapist. Nik is particularly interested in neurological conditions, building quality relationships, and education. With a personal commitment to helping others become the best versions of themselves, Nik is excited to have joined the team at Bathurst Physiotherapy and looks forward to working with patients to help them achieve their goals.

Now residing in Millthorpe with his wife and two daughters, Nik spends his spare time in the garden, going on adventures, and enjoying the food and wine of the region.
