Hugh Parsons

B. Physiotherapy

Hugh grew up in Bathurst and relocated to Port Macquarie in 2021 to pursue a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University. From a young age, Hugh has had a strong interest in sports and health, participating in cricket, rugby, AFL, and distance running. Over time, this passion evolved into a keen desire to help others enhance their physical function, whether it be improving performance on the field or promoting overall wellbeing in daily life.

Initially, Hugh's primary motivation for studying physiotherapy was to focus on the management of sports injuries. However, throughout his studies, he discovered the wide scope of the profession and developed a deep interest in providing personalised care for individuals at all stages of life. Hugh has found supporting people in returning to what matters most to them is the most rewarding part of the role.

Before beginning his final clinical placement in 2024, Hugh had the opportunity to spend some time here at Bathurst Physio and was immediately drawn to the strong team culture and high standard of care that is delivered to all patients. After seeing this Hugh knew that it was something he wanted to be a part of and contribute towards.
