Eliza Erratt

B. Physiotherapy

Eliza moved to Orange in 2018 to study Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University, and has been lucky to call Bathurst home for the past 3 years. During her university days she worked part time in a number of roles including swimming instructor, sports trainer for an Orange rugby league team and more recently in aged and disability care as a support worker.

Growing up in Sydney, throughout her school and university life Eliza was always passionate about sport, in both a playing and coaching capacity. She has played and umpired netball for 15 years and coached youth teams whilst at high school. Eliza enjoyed rowing at school and competed at state and National Championships, and also spent many of her junior years swimming.

While at still at school, Eliza had a fall from a horse and fractured her pelvis. She experienced the role physios play in the rehabilitation process firsthand, and spent many hours receiving physio for these injuries as well as other injuries she experienced from her various sporting activities. This helped Eliza decide on her future career path.

Eliza loves working with people and is passionate about understanding human movement. She has always had a competitive spirit, thriving on challenges and finding solutions to help people achieve their best outcomes. Eliza finds physiotherapy rewarding because she enjoys the challenge of helping individuals overcome physical, functional and emotional limitations, as well as empowering people with the skills to take control of their independence and health.

Eliza is eager to continue to learn and develop her skills as a physiotherapist at Bathurst Physiotherapy, in rehabilitation, sports injuries, women’s health and clinical Pilates.

When not at work, Eliza enjoys spending time with her partner and their 3 year old Labrador “Crash”, as well as playing local netball and touch football, going to the gym and visiting family in Sydney and the Hunter Valley.
